Description: Mojang's Notch is a smart man not just in game design terms but also in the management of his company's 20 million or so Minecraft players. The designer has posted an open poll on his personal blog to find out whether his cuboid customers would feel comfortable with the idea of collecting various types of anonymous data from its users. Currently, Mojang only monitors when a player logs into the game. Notch's idea is to keep track of "non-private data" like the length of a gameplay session and your PC's OS, whether you're playing in multiplayer or single mode and whether you're playing through the client or via the web applet. The community would then have access to the collected data "as normal." minecraft towny servers Notch stated that the data will be sent "naturally" anonymously. It wouldn't contain the details of your session or user name, and it wouldn’t send any sensitive data that you don't want to share. We are surprised that this type of data hasn't been collected, to be honest. You can vote here to support anonymous data collection or against anonymity for those who are part of the Minecraft nation. minecraft towny servers
