The title, due to launch in 2023, requires players to explore the Minecraft world as it is taken over by an evil force. The original Minecraft game, launched in 2011, challenges players to build and explore, while fighting against zombie-like creatures. Microsoft announced Minecraft Legends at its annual summer video game showcase, which will be held online this year. The game will be released for Xbox, PC, and cloud gaming in the next year.
