Description: The web based FTP client enables you to manage your Minecraft server files with relative ease from the panel. To access your Minecraft server files using the web-based client, go to FTP File Access and log in using your panel password. After authentication, you'll be directed to your home directory. Navigating Your Server Files Navigating through the server's files is very similar to what you do on your own desktop. Plugins The directory structure is in the middle. It is possible to navigate to, select, and edit our files here. To view the contents of the folder, click it. To edit a file, we click Edit and to download, we click the actual name of the file. You'll find options to manage the files you've selected at the top. While you have the selected items checked , you can issue certain actions to them such as: Move Files another directory on your server. Delete - Permanently delete selected files. Copy - Make a copy of the files you've selected Rename - Rename selected files. Download - Select files can be downloaded to an archive format. Zip - Archive files and save them to the server. Unzip - Extract the contents of an archive into the directory that you are currently in. Edit - Edit the respective file with the built-in text editor. Create a New Folder and Files You can create new folders or files directly from your panel using the New Dir or New File Upload option on the left-hand side menu. New Dir - Create new directory (or folder) New File - Create a brand new plain text file. Upload - Upload a set of files or an archive. If you're using the Upload option to upload files to your server, you need to keep in mind that you are able to only upload single files and not entire folders. Uploading an entire folder will require you to first archive it first and then unzip it. Limitations While the web based FTP client is convenient and quick for simple server edits and uploads however, it has its limitations. Minecraft Plugins When committing changes to your server files or uploading new ones, you are using the panels web page as an intermediary for exchange of files. What this means is that you are limited to how you can upload in a single session. The limit is set at 50MB, any file commit or upload larger than this limit will need to be done with a third Party FTP client such as Filezilla. Third-party clients such as Filezilla don't have any limitations on file size since it connects directly with your server's files, not the web-based FTP client.
