Description: How do you obtain the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft for free! (Mojang News post) It looks like this is an unintentional post, as there seems to be no redeem button on the Mojang account page as of now. I'm guessing it will be available tomorrow after the release. Edit: The redeem button is now available for me and many others! After you run it, and follow the steps, it will let you format the USB drive or disk for the install. Open the drive you installed it on and then run the installer. Freezing a moment It will install automatically and activate. You can also save an ISO to use in the future however, you must do an in-place update so that your key is activated. I have installed the beta and it's confirmed to be working and is free. I just received it. It's amazing how optimized the game is. My PC's fans don't bother to turn on and the CPU is almost idle all the time. Are there differences in the gameplay? If it's running great on mobile you'd expect it to perform quite well on PC too :) 4 more replies Just got it. It's 2% CPU and 200MB on singleplayer LOL. There is some noticable mouse delay looking around, otherwise looks great. We wish we could edit more settings, such as Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures get mushy with time and the water glare may be a bit strange. Apart from that, fantastic port guys:) Now I can play with my Xbox friends :P There is a slight delay when the mouse's movements However, the overall look is amazing I've noticed the same thing. Mouse acceleration is also strange. It's a rough port at the moment. It runs on C++, so it runs very smooth. However, it needs some tweaking to make it more appealing to the PC players. It seems to be an online game at the moment. I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. But how did you access Windows 10? Did some users get Windows 10 earlier?
