Description: The way you describe how to install Java mods is not correct. The reason is because when you place the Java file into the mod folder, it will just function as a basic mod until another section of the ".minecraft" folder is beeing used. Here is what I mean: 1. Cut or copy the jar file, but don't paste it yet 2. Open the versions folder, and create a new folder. Paste the jar file in the folder you created 4. Copy the jar file into the folder once more however this time with a different name. Open the jar file using notepad. Copy all the text and then exit the file. The copied file should be deleted 7. Create an entirely new file (most likely a txt file) and name it exactly the same way as the jar file is named 8. When you have it written exactly as the Jar file and saved with the name as an .json file 9. Open the json file with notpad and copy the next copy you copied 10. Launch the launcher and select the mod you "made 10,5. If this isn't working Follow these steps: Open the folder for versions and choose a folder you don't need (if the mod is using 1.7.10, you need to locate a folder running the 1.7.10 Minecraft version 12. Copy the jar file into the folder you've selected. Rename it precisely to match the json file. Launch the launcher and choose the version. If you're unable locate the folder, go back to the folder with the versions and look for the folder you last edited. You can then change the name of it according to your preferences. I recommend that you rename all files within that folder to exactly the same name as the folder. Think Of
