Description: How many servers does Runescape have?According to the website, there are 237,527,435 accounts created, and rising by millions every few months.How much space does one of these accounts require, how big is their friken server room and how much do these bad boys cost to run each year ? :OAll of that is stored in clusters of databases, lots of them on hard drives, on specific login servers. Agility training There's probably not a lot of servers that hold that data, probably a lot more holding backups though.It's weird to think how much data is actually required for each player, so many items, booleans, numbers linked to an account.Clusters of databasesinteresting o_O500 bank spaces take 4 KB. There's a lot more to an account than that, so let's run with 250x that number: 1MB per account. That means all of the accounts ever created take up 240 TB (terabytes).
