Description: If you've been wanting to play Minecraft with your other gaming buddies who own an Apple TV now is the time to start getting excited. extremecraft The most recent update to the Apple TV version of this popular game allows "Realms," Minecraft's subscription-based multiplayer system. This updated version also features Xbox Live authentication support, that allows players to access their avatars linked to them and character skins. When you purchase a Realms account, it's like getting an actual Minecraft server, but it's managed by Microsoft so you don't need to mess with things like hosting or IP addresses. extremecraft You have complete control over who is allowed to access your private Minecraft Realm. That way you don't have to worry about anyone destroying your world as you race around fighting explosions of Creepers or creating incredible recreations of King's Landing from Game of Thrones. You can buy a two- or 10-player Realm of your own for $3.99 and $7.99 for each. Unfortunately, users of existing Realms subscriptions on Mac, Linux or PC aren't able to play with their iOS or Apple TV brethren; there are two distinct Realms systems that include PCs, as well as one that is compatible with iOS, Android and Windows 10 users. We contacted the company to find out if plans exist to connect the two systems. The procedurally-generated worlds of Minecraft deserve to be explored with others; now Apple TV and iOS fans have a chance to do just that... as long as they stick to their own platform.
